Accessibility
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Our audience skews older and includes people with chronic fatigue and difficulty concentrating, so this is the actual use case rather than a compliance exercise.
What has been done
- Every colour pair used for text is contrast-checked. Body text meets the 4.5:1 ratio and larger text meets 3:1.
- Everything interactive is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that is never removed.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Real semantic elements are used throughout, with one main heading per page and no skipped heading levels.
- A skip-to-content link is the first thing you reach with the keyboard.
- Animation is minimal and the whole site honours the reduced-motion setting. There are no carousels and nothing moves while you are reading.
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 375 pixels wide.
Known gaps, stated honestly
Two items are open rather than fixed, and we would rather list them than imply they are done:
- Navigation does not yet indicate your position within a long page.
- The skip link’s focus target has not been verified in Safari, where historic behaviour differs.
If something does not work
Ring (614) 898-9340 and tell us what failed and what you were using. We will fix it, and in the meantime the office can give you anything on this site over the telephone.
